Beach Mini Session {Take 2} | Gulf Shores, AL Children Photographer

I was really looking forward to this next session!  These kiddos are the perfect combination of sweet and spunky which always makes for a fun session!  I was pretty impressed with how easily their momma was able to make them all genuinely smile for me :)

For instance with this little guy all she had to say was she was going to make sure he stayed 3 forever and the giggles were released :)

Aren't they just the cutest little things!

I realize this last one isn't very "portrait worthy" but it perfectly sums up how each of my sessions ended...with very wet but VERY happy kids!

Beach Mini Session | Gulf Shores, AL Family and Children Photographer

I must admit, I was pretty nervous about how the mini sessions were going to work.  For instance, would I have enough time with each family?  What if one were running a little late, would that throw everything off horribly?  And, I've never really taken portraits on the beach in full sun so how was I going to compensate for the possible harsh lighting?  I tried to plan everything out in my head but still leave room for things to go awry, I was shooting children after all ;)

Then my first family arrived and as we were walking over to the beach I began to wonder why I even worried at all!  None of my sessions that day were strangers.  I've played with their kids before, even celebrated a birthday or two with them.  There was absolutely nothing to be worried about and as we got started things just flowed so smoothly!  I saw the love that binds this sweet family together...

and even the special realtionships between a father and his daughter...

and a mother and her sons!

With all of these sweet faces smiling at you how could you ever worry :)

I dearly love this family and was ecstatic when Rebecca asked if I would take some portraits of them!  The love they have for one another is so evident and I was so honored to capture that for them!

And seriously, could these little boys be any cuter! 

Oh how I love a naked baby in the grass!

Emily {4 Days New} | Mobile, AL Newborn Photographer

This little lady was a DREAM to photograph!  She would grunt a little when I would reposition her but other than that she just slept and slept.  Being that she's the youngest of three, all of which are under three, probably accounted for her go-with-the-flow attitude ;)  To say her momma is busy is a bit of an understatement but in addition to all the child rearing she's doing she found some time to make a few of the precious hats, wraps and woven bowls I used during Emily's session!  I just love a talented mommy!  Thanks again Amber for letting me capture your newest addition and for all the BEAUTIFUL props!
