What to wear {Lawn Party Edition}

Even though I'm still working on some portfolio building and haven't officially started my business, I wanted to go ahead and put together a few references for the inevitable question of "What should we wear?". I going to try and do a What To Wear board quarterly, if not monthly.  I'm by no means saying you must go out and buy these outfits for your session but if you're anything like me its nice to have a visual starting place when trying to decide what to wear.  Just remember coordinating is key!  In case you do see something on the board you'd like to purchase, all of these outfits can be found at Old Navy, Gapkids, Gymboree and Piperline.  Let me know what you think!

Sun Flare

This week's theme at I Heart Faces was Sun Flare!  This was the first time I've ever really tried to capture the flare on purpose and it was really fun to see how much or how little I could capture in each shot.  The day I took this was (I hope) the last chilly day of our winter season but a little cool weather wasn't stopping this little guy from being outside!  I just love his little sun soaked face :)

I'm so excited to be participating in the weekly photo challenge at I Heart Faces.  This week's theme is People's Choice where you pick your favorite face in Feb.  I took a ton of pictures this Feb. but this one of my oldest son just cracks me up every time I look at it!  Its so him :)

I can't believe these sweet babies have gone from this...

...to this in just a year!

These cuties belong to two very good friends of mine and I was thrilled when they asked if I would take the girls' 1 year pictures!  We were suppose to do family portaits as well that day but their oldest daughter (yeah, you heard that right!  They have three girls under the age of three!!!) wasn't feeling too hot so we decided to just do the babies for now.  Be on the look out for pictures of this whole family very soon though!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a dear friends first baby boy last week!

 And let me tell you this is one lucky little boy!  Not only does he have his sweet mommy to take care of him but he also has two precious sister mommies ;) 

I think this big sister is a bit smitten with little brother!
